Hadarim Urban Regeneration Fund is a NIS 60 million fund that exemplifies a first-time multi-sector collaboration in Israel. The Fund works with private equity firms, the Haifa municipality and NGO’s to realise a shared vision of creating a diverse and vibrant urban centre with designated areas for local businesses, communal green areas and attractive, affordable housing solutions, including long-term rentals for families and young adults and creative communities in which to build their lives in the Hadar neighbourhood. The Hadar area is a severely neglected low socio-economic neighbourhood – with inhabitants that reflect a cross section of Israeli society.
